PSL Reveals Carling Knockout Round of 16 Fixtures, Venues and Kick-Off Schedule
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially confirmed the dates, kick-off times, and venues for the 2026 Carling Knockout Cup Round of 16, setting the stage for another exciting chapter in one of South African football’s most popular knockout competitions.
The tournament gets underway on Saturday, 24 October, with Golden Arrows hosting Chippa United at King Zwelithini Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 before attention shifts to Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, where Polokwane City will face Siwelele FC at 18:00.
Action continues on Sunday, 25 October, with Kruger United taking on AmaZulu FC at Mbombela Stadium in a match that could provide one of the round’s biggest surprises. Later in the day, Sekhukhune United will host Richards Bay FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18:00.
The standout fixtures arrive on Tuesday, 27 October, when three giants of South African football enter the competition. Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Marumo Gallants to Loftus Versfeld Stadium, while Orlando Pirates host Milford FC at Orlando Stadium.
Kaizer Chiefs will also begin their Carling Knockout campaign on the same evening when they entertain TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium. All three fixtures are set to kick off simultaneously at 19:00.
Defending champions Orlando Pirates will be aiming to successfully defend the trophy after lifting the title last season. The Buccaneers overcame Marumo Gallants in the previous final to secure the Carling Knockout crown and will once again be among the favourites to go all the way.
For Marumo Gallants, the competition presents an opportunity to gain revenge and make another deep run in the tournament. However, standing in their way will be a formidable Sundowns side that consistently challenges for silverware on multiple fronts.
Sundowns enter the tournament with ambitions of adding another domestic trophy to their growing collection, while Chiefs will be eager to use the competition as a platform to strengthen their bid for success this season.
Elsewhere, clubs such as AmaZulu FC, Sekhukhune United, Polokwane City, Chippa United and Stellenbosch FC will believe they have a genuine chance of progressing and potentially challenging for the title in the weeks ahead.
The Round of 16 action concludes on Wednesday, 28 October, when Durban City FC host Stellenbosch FC at Chatsworth Stadium. With several intriguing matchups, local rivalries and knockout football’s trademark unpredictability, supporters can expect a fiercely contested battle for a place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Carling Knockout Cup.
