Moroka Swallows slapped with a mega R1-million fine by PSL
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee has found Moroka Swallows guilty of misconduct and bringing the league into disrepute.
Swallows failed to pitch up for their games against Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows in December 2023.
PSL prosecutor, Zola Mojavu, revealed on Thursday that Swallows pleaded guilty and were fined R1 million, of which R600 000 is suspended for two years.
Majavu also confirmed that Swallows will forfeit the points from those games with a 3-0 scoreline to their opponents, and the club received an effective R400 000 fine.
