Hugo Broos targets victory against Uganda in Kampala
Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says they are prepared to fight for maximum points over Uganda at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala on Friday.
South Africa qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with two games to spare, after South Sudan beat Congo 3-2 on Thursday.

Broos said they are gunning to top Group K despite already qualified for the tournament in Morocco next year.
“We want to win the game, we want to win to end top of the group and that means we have to beat Uganda. So [qualifying] does not change anything for us,” Broos told www.www.safa.net.
“I hope that it will be a nice game and a good game. It will be a full house, and there will be a lot of atmosphere inside the stadium. This is motivation for the players and let us hope that the best team wins today.”
Bafana Bafana will take on Uganda in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, Uganda on Friday, 15 November 2024. The game will kick-off at 15h00 and will be LIVE on SABC 2 and SABC+.
