Miguel Cardoso criticizes domestic fixture timing before CAF test
Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso launched a scathing attack on domestic scheduling after being forced to play a league match just 72 hours before their CAF Champions League quarter-final against Stade Malien.
Speaking at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Thursday, 12 March 2026, Cardoso expressed his frustration at what he described as an “unacceptable” turnaround time for a team representing South Africa in Africa’s premier club competition.
