BRM Consulting launches Africa United International Football Talent Showcase
BRM CONSULTING (PTY) LTD officially announces the launch of the Africa United International Football Talent Showcase, an elite youth development programme designed to identify and elevate South Africa’s based most promising young footballers to the international stage.
The initiative targets 17–18-year-old players and offers a structured pathway combining talent identification, high-performance training, and international exposure, culminating in a competitive football experience in Spain.
The programme will be formally introduced during a launch press conference on Thursday, 12 March 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00 at The Catalyst Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg, where organisers will present the full project roadmap and partnership opportunities to media and stakeholders.
Building real pathways for emerging football talent
The Africa United programme has been designed to address a long-standing gap in African football development which is the limited access many talented young players have to structured high-performance environments and international scouting platforms.
“South Africa has an incredible pool of young talent,” said Bob Richard Makandalele, Founder and Director of Africa United.
“Our mission is to provide these players with the structure, exposure, and professional environment they need to compete globally. This programme is about opening real doors for young footballers who might otherwise never be seen.”
A three-phase high-performance development model
The Africa United initiative will unfold in three structured phases, designed to progressively identify and prepare the best players:
• Phase 1 – Identification Each player receives an identification number (anonymous evaluation) The use of numbers ensures a fair and transparent evaluation process.
• Phase 2 – Elite Camp Selected players will attend an intensive high-performance training camp, where they will receive professional coaching, sports science support, and tactical development.
• Phase 3 – International Showcase
The top players will form a final squad of approximately 18 players, travelling to Spain to compete in an international tournament and train within professional football environments. Throughout the programme, players will also receive life-skills education, and exposure to professional football standards, ensuring holistic development beyond the field.
The programme will be supported by a multinational technical team including experienced coaches and football development specialists.
Among them is Julio C. Gomez, UEFA Pro-licensed coach and Sports Director of the programme, who brings international experience across Europe, the United States, Africa, and Asia.
His expertise in high-performance training and tactical methodology will guide the elite development component of the initiative.
