Mark Williams and Foundation to co-host SportXPartnership Forum in Johannesburg
Mark Williams, Bafana Bafana hero of AFCON 1996, to share his journey and launch his Foundation’s annual golf day and national tour celebrating 30 years of winning the trophy.
Football hero Mark Williams and his Foundation will co-host the SportXPartnership Forum taking place on 23 April 2026 in Johannesburg, which will discuss collaboration between sponsors, funders, and sports development organisations, as well as telling what happened on that famous day 30 years ago.
He will also launch his Foundation’s annual golf day and a forthcoming national tour celebrating 30 years since that famous AFCON victory. The tour is slated for June-July 2026 during the FIFA World Cup.
The Forum will bring together sports foundations, clubs, academies, agencies, service providers, sponsors and commercial brands to explore partnerships that use sport as a force for good by strengthening collaboration with community programmes to increase social impact and support youth development and community upliftment.
Guests attending the Forum will also compete for prizes and get bragging rights in the inaugural Soweto Derby Quiz, combining networking, insight and fun around football’s greatest rivalry.
