Second cancellation hits Legends Derby ahead of Moses Mabhida fixture
Kaizer Chiefs have announced that the much-anticipated Legends Derby between Amakhosi and Orlando Pirates, scheduled for Sunday, 29 March 2026 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, has been cancelled.
In a statement shared by Puzzle Pictures, it was confirmed that all refunds will be processed via Ticketpro, ensuring supporters who had already purchased tickets will be reimbursed.
This is the second cancellation of the fixture. The match was originally set for Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg on 7 February 2026, but that date was also called off.
The Legends Derby is widely regarded as a celebration of South African football heritage, bringing former stars back onto the pitch to relive one of the country’s most iconic rivalries. Fans had been eagerly anticipating the clash, making the repeated cancellations a major disappointment.
At this stage, no alternative date has been announced, leaving the future of the legends fixture uncertain.
