Kaizer Chiefs Spread Home Matches Across Three Venues for 2026/27 Season
Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced their home ground plans for the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season, with the majority of fixtures set to be played at the iconic FNB Stadium in Soweto. Amakhosi will host 12 league matches at the venue, beginning with their opening clash against Sekhukhune United on 12 August 2026. The stadium will once again serve as the fortress where fans gather in their thousands to back the Glamour Boys.
The standout early fixture comes on 15 August 2026 when Chiefs welcome Mamelodi Sundowns to Soweto. This clash is expected to be one of the highlights of the season, pitting Amakhosi against the reigning CAF Champions League champions in a battle that could set the tone for the campaign. Sundowns have dominated in recent years, but Chiefs will be eager to prove their resurgence in front of a packed FNB Stadium crowd.
Another blockbuster arrives on 13 March 2026 when Chiefs face arch-rivals and 2025/26 Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates at the same venue. The Soweto Derby remains the most anticipated fixture in South African football, and this edition promises fireworks. With both sides aiming for supremacy in the Premiership, the clash will not only be about bragging rights but also about crucial points in the title race.
Beyond these headline encounters, Chiefs’ FNB Stadium calendar includes matches against Stellenbosch FC on 17 October 2026, AmaZulu on 4 November 2026, Durban City FC on 10 January 2027, and Polokwane City on 27 February 2027. Later fixtures include Milford FC on 10 April 2027, Marumo Gallants on 17 April 2027, Golden Arrows on 28 April 2027, Kruger United on 8 May 2027, and Richards Bay FC on 22 May 2027.
In addition to their Soweto base, Chiefs will play two matches at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg. On 5 September 2026, they face Siwelele FC, followed by a 15 December 2026 clash against TS Galaxy. These fixtures extend Chiefs’ reach to fans in North West province, reinforcing their national presence.
The club will also host one match at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, where they meet Chippa United on 23 January 2027. This fixture offers Limpopo supporters a rare chance to see Amakhosi live in their region. With fixtures spread across three venues, Chiefs’ 2026/27 campaign promises excitement, accessibility, and a renewed push for Premiership glory.
To complement this fixture list, the club also announced that season tickets will cover a minimum of 10 Betway Premiership home games at FNB Stadium in Johanessburg, giving supporters guaranteed access to the full package of matches at their Soweto fortress. This initiative ensures fans can enjoy consistency, value, and the thrill of every major home encounter throughout the campaign.
