USM Alger Send Strong Warning Ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns Showdown

USM Alger have declared themselves ready for the challenge of facing Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Super Cup final, with head coach Lamine N’Diaye and captain Saâdi Radouani expressing confidence and determination ahead of the highly anticipated clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

Speaking during the official pre-match press conference, N’Diaye described the occasion as a special moment for the Algerian club. He stressed that the squad has worked hard in preparation for the final and is fully focused on delivering a performance worthy of the occasion.

Radouani echoed his coach’s sentiments, highlighting the commitment shown by the players throughout their preparations. The captain said the team is motivated by the opportunity to compete for continental silverware and hopes to return home with the trophy.

Despite arriving as Confederation Cup champions, N’Diaye made it clear that past achievements will have little bearing on the outcome of the final. He acknowledged the quality within the Sundowns squad and believes the South African giants remain one of the strongest teams on the continent.

The experienced coach dismissed any suggestion that Sundowns would be weakened by recent continental disappointment. Instead, he warned that finals often bring out the best in top teams and expects a tough encounter from the hosts.

While refusing to reveal tactical details, N’Diaye confirmed that extensive analysis has formed part of USM Alger’s preparations. The technical team has carefully studied their opponents in a bid to neutralise the home advantage and give their side the best possible chance of success.

Both the coach and captain also took time to thank the club’s supporters, including those who made the journey to South Africa and those following from Algeria and abroad. They praised the dedication of the fans and said their backing provides extra motivation for the players on the pitch.

As kick-off approaches, USM Alger remain calm and focused on the task at hand. N’Diaye believes pressure is a natural part of football at the highest level, and with an experienced group of players behind him, he is confident his side is ready to embrace the occasion and fight for continental glory against Mamelodi Sundowns.
