Reeve Frosler Urges Kaizer Chiefs to Stay Focused Ahead of Stellenbosch FC Challenge
Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler has called on his teammates to remain focused and disciplined as they prepare to host Stellenbosch FC in a crucial Betway Premiership encounter at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.
Speaking during the club’s pre-match press conference, Frosler reflected on how the squad utilized the lengthy FIFA international break to recharge and sharpen various aspects of their game ahead of a demanding period of fixtures.
The defender explained that the break offered an important opportunity for self-assessment, allowing players and coaches to review previous performances and identify areas that required improvement. He believes the time away from competitive action has left the squad refreshed and ready for the challenges ahead.
Despite Stellenbosch’s reputation as a difficult opponent, Frosler stressed that Chiefs are concentrating primarily on themselves rather than becoming distracted by past meetings or the strengths of the opposition. According to the defender, maintaining consistency in their own performances remains the team’s main objective.
Frosler believes the squad has made encouraging progress since the start of the season. While some matches have ended in frustrating draws, he feels the team has managed to maintain its playing identity and continue moving in the right direction.
The experienced defender acknowledged that turning positive performances into victories is now the next major step for the Glamour Boys. He emphasized the importance of building on the foundations already established and ensuring that strong displays are rewarded with maximum points.
A key area of focus during the break was the team’s defensive structure. Frosler revealed that the players collectively analyzed recent mistakes and worked on improving communication, organization and concentration at the back.
As Chiefs prepare for another important league assignment, Frosler remains confident that the work done behind the scenes will produce results on the pitch. With the squad eager to keep climbing the standings, the defender believes a disciplined performance and a solid defensive display could prove decisive against Stellenbosch FC.
