FKF unveil Benni McCarthy as new head coach of Kenya
South African football legend Benni McCarthy was unveiled as the new head coach of the Kenya National team on a two-year deal until 2027.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) made the announcement on Monday.
“After a rigorous selection process, we are confident that Benni McCarthy is the right person to lead our national team forward. His experience, vision, and commitment to developing Kenyan football align perfectly with our ambitions,” a statement read.
“Alongside him, we welcome Vasili Manousakis as Assistant Coach, Moeneeb Josephs as Goalkeepers Coach, and Pilela Maposa as Performance Analyst.
“This team brings a wealth of expertise, and we believe they will instill tactical discipline, structure, and a winning mentality as we prepare for upcoming competitions.
“McCarthy and his team will immediately take charge as Kenya prepares for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Gabon. Further details regarding training schedules and squad selections will be communicated in due course.”
