Mamelodi Sundowns’ Durban City FC Clash Rescheduled as Venue Change Confirmed

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that their upcoming Betway Premiership encounter against Durban City has been rescheduled and relocated due to venue availability issues at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

The Brazilians announced the change in an official statement, informing supporters that the fixture will now take place on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

Sundowns stated: “Our #BetwayPrem clash against Durban City has been rescheduled to Saturday, 31 October 2026, at 20H15 at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.”

The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, 1 November 2026, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria. However, supporters will now have to make their way to Rustenburg following the confirmed venue switch.

The change comes as Loftus Versfeld will not be available on the scheduled weekend due to a rugby commitment at the stadium. The Bulls are set to host the Scarlets on 31 October, making the venue unavailable for football.

As a result, Sundowns and the Premier Soccer League were forced to find an alternative venue and date to ensure the league fixture could proceed without a scheduling conflict.

The revised arrangement sees the match brought forward by a day, with kickoff set for 20H15 at Royal Bafokeng Stadium. The venue has previously hosted several major domestic and international football fixtures and is expected to provide a suitable stage for the encounter.

For Sundowns, the focus remains on securing maximum points as they continue their pursuit of league honours, while Durban City will be eager to take advantage of the occasion and improve their position in the standings when the two sides meet at their new venue later this month.
